  1. I admire your use of color. This piece really seems to transcend its medium (from what I can see from the enlarged version of the photo/scan). Has more of a rust stain on sheet metal sort of feel to it.

    I'm just now about to take my first experimental steps into the scary world of color. Care to offer any advice to a beginner?

  2. Hi Vincent,
    I would recommend that you just follow your instincts and jump into the wild world of color. Start with the three basics (yellow, red, blue) and do some experimenting. Maybe, if you want, read some artist books on color theory. Maybe not. Practice with colors on hand. You’ll learn a lot just playing and doing. Have fun, most of all.
